Refrigeration Engineer

Transport Refrigeration Engineer Bedford £42,000 per annum A leading commercial fleet maintenance business supporting major HGV, trailer, and temperature-controlled transport operators across the UK. This company specialises in keeping critical fleets on the road through vehicle servicing, repair, compliance support, fridge unit maintenance, tail lift servicing, and breakdown response. With a strong focus on reducing downtime and maintaining reliable cold chain operations, the business plays a key role in supporting refrigerated transport and logistics customers. Key Responsibilities: Work independently to diagnose, service, and repair transport refrigeration systems Carry out planned maintenance and reactive repairs on fridge units across commercial vehicles and trailers Liaise with internal teams to plan works, prioritise breakdowns, and minimise vehicle downtime Ensure all work is completed in line with Health & Safety, F-Gas, and company standards Package: £42,000 per annum Overtime, door to door & on-call pay 28 days annual leave Pension scheme Continuous training opportunities What You'll Need: Experience working on commercial or transport refrigeration systems F-Gas Category 1 Full UK driving licence Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability Ability to work independently and manage service workloads Interested in hearing more?
