Pay: £40,000.00 - £45,000.00 per year Job description: Role: Assistant Site Manager Location: Dorchester, Dorset | on-site Sector: Construction Employment Type: Full-Time | Permanent – up to £45k Salary: Competitive Salary + Comprehensive Package A leading international construction contractor is seeking an ambitious Assistant Site Manager to join the team delivering a landmark residential development in Dorchester. This exciting project will provide purpose-built apartments for key workers, helping to address the growing demand for affordable, high-quality accommodation for essential workers within the local community. What's on offer * Permanent position with a growing and highly respected international contractor * Opportunity to work on a flagship residential development with a positive social impact * Exposure to innovative construction methodologies and modern methods of construction (MMC) * Excellent mentoring and development opportunities from an experienced site management team What you’ll be doing * Supporting the Site Management team with the day-to-day running of site operations * Assisting in the coordination of subcontractors, suppliers and site activities across the project * Monitoring works to ensure programme, quality and safety standards are achieved * Promoting and maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance on site * Assisting with site inspections, quality checks and progress reporting * Supporting site logistics, deliveries and workforce coordination activities * Helping to manage project documentation, permits and site records * Monitoring workmanship and ensuring works are completed in line with project specifications * Supporting subcontractor meetings and communication across site teams * Assisting with commissioning, snagging and handover activities What we’re looking for * Previous experience in an Assistant Site Manager, Site Supervisor or Trainee Site Manager role within construction * Experience working for a main contractor is preferred * Housing project experience desirable * Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced construction environment This is a fantastic opportunity to join a contractor at the forefront of modern construction, working on a meaningful development while building a long-term career with a business that offers genuine progression opportunities.
