Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer – Cumbria - £49,000 DOE - 3 Day shift Pattern We are looking for an experienced Multiskilled Engineer with an electrical bias supporting the current team in maintaining a modern plant alongside playing a pivotal role in a driving process improvement across the site. You will be taking part in projects and delivering a high standard or maintenance over a variety of modern plant and equipment services. Key Responsibilities Ensure plant and equipment is maintained to enable: * Equipment meets all safety and regulatory requirements * Equipment runs at budgeted level of machine uptime * Equipment runs at budgeted spoilage and output * Ensure that maintenance and electrical duties are carried out to: * Ensure that all safety requirements are met when working with machinery and/or chemicals * Ensure that Hazardous area requirements are met including installations, PM’s and dossier * Maintain plant and equipment to exceptional standards. * Work orders and Planned Maintenance are carried out within the set time frames * Attend and repair breakdowns within the set time frames * Escalate problems that are creating excess downtime * Re-design and modify plant and machinery to maximize production outputs * Ensure that detailed information is entered into our Maintenance System including detailed history and downtime * Carry out Mechanical maintenance duties as and when required * Take part in analysis of maintenance/electrical/mechanical and breakdown history to ensure the PM schedule is aligned to breakdown history * Manage/take part in either team or individual projects when required Qualifications & Certificates Essential: * Engineering qualification; HNC in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with industrial experience. * Experience within a Manufacturing Environment Desired: * Mechanical knowledge of industrial plant and equipment * Hazardous Areas COMPEX 1-4 Qualification Benefits: * 25 days holiday + bank holidays * Pension matched up to 9% * Income protection + 4× salary death-in-service * Healthcare cash plan (covers dependents) * Option to buy extra holidays * Additional perks (parking, discounts, etc.)
