Experienced Engineering Manager 💷 Up to £55,000 📍 Bristol / South West This is a hands-on senior role focused on mechanical design, FEA, product development, drawing control & technical leadership across a range of specialist fabricated & hydraulic products used in demanding environments. Key Responsibilities Lead & manage the engineering/design department Oversee mechanical design, product development & FEA analysis Produce & review SolidWorks models, drawings & BOMs Manage drawing revisions, engineering changes & design standards Support production, quality & supplier technical issues Improve existing products & develop new solutions Mentor engineering staff & manage department priorities Essential Skills & Experience Senior mechanical design engineering background Experience managing engineers or design teams Strong SolidWorks & FEA experience Knowledge of fabricated, welded & structural assemblies Understanding of design for manufacture & engineering documentation Strong practical problem-solving & communication skills Desirable Agricultural, automotive or off-highway machinery experience Hydraulics or vehicle attachment systems knowledge Fusion 360, ERP or compliance approval experienceThis role suits a practical engineer who enjoys working closely with manufacturing & developing robust, real-world products.
