Secondary Teacher – Computer Science & Maths Job Title: Computer Science & Maths Teacher – Full-Time Job Role: Secondary Teacher – Computer Science & Maths Location: Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire Start Date: September 2026 Contract Type: Full-time Salary: (M1–UPS3) £34,398–£52,490 About the Role We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Computer Science & Maths Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Hemel Hempstead from September 2026. This is a full-time position teaching Computer Science across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, alongside Maths at Key Stage 3. The successful candidate will be a passionate and knowledgeable practitioner with strong classroom management skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning. The school is looking for an individual who can inspire pupils, raise attainment and foster a positive learning environment where all students can achieve their full potential. This role is suitable for both UK-trained teachers with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and overseas-trained teachers with qualifications recognised as equivalent to UK teaching standards. Plan and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 Teach Maths across Key Stage 3, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing clear feedback and targeted support Maintain high expectations for behaviour, attendance and achievement Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents Contribute positively to the wider life of the school Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an overseas teaching qualification recognised as equivalent in the UK Previous experience teaching Computer Science and/or Maths within a secondary setting Experience teaching Computer Science at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 Experience teaching Maths at Key Stage 3 Strong classroom and behaviour management skills Excellent communication and organisational abilities A thorough understanding of the secondary curriculum A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people A professional, proactive and reflective approach to teaching Key Responsibilities Requirements How to Apply To find out more, please contact Elina on or apply below.
