This is a hands-on role suited to a reliable and motivated individual with forklift experience, good practical ability and a strong focus on safety. The successful candidate will support material movement, warehouse activity, general labouring tasks and day-to-day production requirements. Responsibilities for General Labourer / Forklift Operator As General Labourer / Forklift Operator, you will help ensure materials, equipment and warehouse processes run smoothly and safely. You will work closely with supervisors and team members, following instructions and supporting a clean, organised and efficient working environment. • Safely operate a forklift to load, unload and move materials around site • Assist with warehouse, production and general labouring duties • Support equipment repair and maintenance tasks as instructed • Assist with cutting metal bar using large bandsaws, with training provided • Complete general delivery paperwork accurately • Maintain a tidy, safe and well-organised working environment Requirements for General Labourer / Forklift Operator The ideal candidate will have previous forklift operation experience and a practical, hands-on approach. You should be comfortable working in a busy engineering or warehouse environment, following safety procedures and supporting a range of operational tasks. • Previous forklift operation experience is essential • Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions • Good general physical health, eyesight and hearing • Familiarity with the local area • Willingness to learn and undertake additional training • CNC machinery experience would be beneficial but is not essential
