Our client, a well-established family-run business operating since the 1950s, seeks a skilled Vehicle Technician to become a valued member of their team. This is an ideal role for an experienced all-rounder or diagnostic technician seeking a long-term position with excellent career prospects. Benefits for the Successful Vehicle Technician: Competitive salary up to £35,000 per annum, based on experience Optional overtime paid at an enhanced rate 20 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays Workplace pension scheme Access to in-house training and development programmes Staff purchase discounts Use of workshop facilities during your spare time Opportunity to work within a third-generation family-run local business with strong community ties Working hours from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, with two 1-hour and three 30-minute lunch breaksDuties as a Vehicle Technician: Conduct fault diagnosis, servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles Complete all associated paperwork accurately and in accordance with company standards Identify vehicle faults and performance issues, reporting findings to the Workshop Manager Ensure that all work is completed to high-quality standards, adhering to health and safety regulations Maintain the safety, reliability, and performance standards of the vehicles serviced Contribute to a positive team environment by working collaboratively with workshop staff and front-of-house colleaguesRequirements: Competent Vehicle Technician with demonstrable experience in diagnostics and general repairs Relevant qualifications such as IMI/NVQ in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair are advantageous but not essential for experienced time-served technicians Ideally, live within a reasonable commuting distance of Cowbridge Strong organisational skills with a methodical approach to workload management Excellent attention to detail and quality of workmanship Ability to work effectively as part of a team in an independent service centre environment An active MOT licence would be highly advantageous but is not mandatoryThis is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Vehicle Technician looking to join a long-standing business with excellent staff benefits and career growth potential.
