Assistant Estimator

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Trainee or Assistant Estimator to join a well-established specialist contractor delivering high-quality projects across various sectors in the UK and Europe. The business has built a strong reputation for delivering fit-out and specialist construction solutions for major clients. The Role Working alongside an experienced commercial and pre-construction team, you will assist in the preparation of competitive tenders and cost estimates across a variety of construction projects. Key responsibilities will include: * Assisting with preparation of tenders, estimates and pricing submissions * Reviewing drawings, specifications and project documentation * Performing quantity take-offs and measuring works * Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations * Supporting bid submissions and commercial documentation * Liaising with operational and project delivery teams * Maintaining accurate cost records and estimating databases About You * Previous experience within estimating, quantity surveying or construction commercial support * Background within construction, fit-out, refurbishment or interiors advantageous * Strong numerical and analytical skills * Good understanding of construction drawings and specifications * Proficient with Microsoft Office packages * Excellent communication and organisational skills * Motivated to develop a long-term career within pre-construction/commercial management What’s On Offer * Excellent opportunity for career progression and development * Exposure to a wide variety of projects and sectors * Supportive and experienced team environment * Long-term stability with a growing contractor delivering projects in the UK and Europe This role would suit a motivated Trainee/Assistant Estimator or commercially aware construction professional looking to take the next step within a busy environment
