Retail & Shopfitting Installation Engineer – Nights Location Nationwide – engineers will ideally be allocated to sites close to their home location where possible. Contract Type Contract / Project-Based Shift Pattern Night shifts – Sunday & Monday * Sunday shift start: 4:00pm * Monday shift start: 10:00pm Shift finish times will vary depending on completion of works. Engineers may leave site once all work has been completed and signed off by the Site Lead/customer. Project Overview On behalf of our client we are recruiting teams of reliable Engineers to support a nationwide retail installation programme across retail sites throughout the UK. We are looking to build multiple teams of approximately 10 Engineers per region to carry out overnight installation works on behalf of our client. This is a hands-on role suited to candidates with experience in retail installations, shopfitting, merchandising, fixture fitting, retail rollouts, or field engineering projects. Responsibilities Installation and replacement of retail display technology and associated equipment Installing brackets, rails, fixings, and associated equipment onto counters and shelving Competent use of hand and power tools including drills, screwdrivers, and measuring equipment Working alongside a Site Lead and wider installation team Ensuring all work is completed to client specification Carrying out basic fault identification and reporting issues where required Following site health & safety procedures at all times Maintaining professional standards whilst working in live retail environments Completing works within agreed project timelines Requirements Previous retail installation, merchandising, shopfitting, fixture fitting, or field engineering experience preferred Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and confidently Ability to drill and install fixings onto counters, fixtures, and shelving Good attention to detail Ability to work overnight shifts Reliable and punctual Comfortable working as part of a team Strong communication skills Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle requiredAbility to travel to regional sites where required Re Experience * Retail technology deployment * Store refresh or rollout projects * Basic carpentry or shopfitting experience * Experience working within live retail environments What We Offer Ongoing nationwide project work Structured teams with designated Site Leads Opportunity to work on a large-scale retail deployment Work allocated regionally where possible Team Structure Each site will operate with: 1 Site Lead Team of Engineers (approximately 10 per team) The Site Lead will oversee completion and customer sign-off of all works on-site.
