6 Month FTC A leading global manufacturer within the chemical and agricultural sector is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This role will support production continuity during an exciting period of expansion and site transition following significant investment into a new manufacturing facility. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to join a well-established production environment with the potential for longer-term opportunities. The Role Reporting to the Engineering Manager, responsibilities will include: * Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance across the site * Responding safely and efficiently to equipment breakdowns * Following Standard Operating Procedures, Risk Assessments, and Method Statements * Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety policies and Permit to Work systems * Supporting plant reliability and contributing to Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) improvements * Assisting with operational continuity during site transition activities Candidate Requirements The successful candidate will ideally have: * NVQ Level 3 minimum in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering * Experience within a manufacturing or production environment * Knowledge of relay logic and PLC fault finding * Experience working with fluid-transfer pumps including centrifugal and progressing cavity pumps * Understanding of LOTO, PUWER, and LOLER regulations * Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and engineering drawings * Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills * Good IT skills and experience using CMMS systems * Flexibility to work rotating shifts as required Desirable Skills & Experience * IPAF 3B licence * Welding and fabrication experience * COMAH site experience What’s on Offer * Competitive salary * Annual bonus scheme * Enhanced employer pension contribution * Private healthcare * Life assurance * Ongoing training and development opportunities * Additional holiday purchase scheme * Health and wellbeing initiatives
