TRAFFIC OPERATOR Location: Daventry Hours: 14:00–23:00, Monday–Friday Pay: £14.42 per hour + pre‑authorised overtime Employer: XPO Logistics – Daikin Contract Training: Full training provided Looking to build your transport career? We’re looking for a confident, organised Traffic Operator to join our evening team at Daventry. If you enjoy working in a busy transport office, supporting drivers, solving problems, and keeping operations moving, this is a great opportunity to grow with a major logistics provider. You’ll be right at the centre of the action — working with drivers, the warehouse, and other XPO depots to keep our trunking operation running smoothly. You’ll also be involved in routing next‑day multi‑drop runs in the local and surrounding area, with full training provided. What You’ll Be Doing Allocating vehicles and trailers Briefing and debriefing drivers Monitoring departures and liaising with other XPO depots Working closely with warehouse and customer service teams Updating systems and keeping accurate records Handling live issues like delays, breakdowns, or loading problems Supporting the evening trunking operation Routing next‑day multi‑drop deliveries (training provided) Providing updates to the Operations Supervisor / Manager What We’re Looking For Experience in a traffic office / transport office or similar environment (preferred) Strong communicator — confident with drivers, depots, and warehouse teams Calm, organised, and able to think on your feet Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook Positive attitude, reliable, and keen to learn Full training provided for the right person If you enjoy being at the centre of a busy operation and keeping things moving, you’ll fit right in.
