Technical Manager

Location: London Bridge, Southwark 📅 Type: Full time | Office based, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm  About Us Maris Interiors are one of the UK’s leading design and build specialists. With over 47 years of experience, we create inspiring office spaces through design, fit-out, refurbishment and relocation. The Role As Technical Manager, you will play a key role supporting the preconstruction and commercial teams across a range of exciting workplace projects. You will be responsible for managing tender preparation, subcontractor coordination, cost planning and technical documentation, helping deliver competitive and high-quality project bids. This is a fast-paced role where you will work closely with Technical Directors, subcontractors and project teams to ensure projects are commercially competitive, technically compliant and delivered to the highest standards.  What You’ll Be Doing 📋 Manage tender documentation, subcontractor enquiries and tender analysis 💷 Support cost planning, estimating and commercial reviews 🤝 Coordinate subcontractors, meetings, surveys and technical workshops 📑 Prepare technical documentation, programmes and client presentation materials 🏗️ Support planning applications, Building Control and project compliance requirements 🦺 Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, CDM and company procedures  What We’re Looking For 🎓 Degree level qualification in a relevant subject 🏗️ Experience within the construction industry and commercial awareness 💷 Strong understanding of cost planning and value engineering 📘 Basic knowledge of JCT contracts 🧠 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 🗣️ Confident presenter, communicator and listener ⚡ Highly motivated with enthusiasm and ambition to succeed 🤝 Positive, proactive and collaborative approach 📊 Strong Microsoft Excel skills 📍 Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Why Join Us 🌴 Generous holiday package with 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, Christmas period off and every last working Friday off each month with pay day ☕ On-site coffee shop – free breakfast, tea, coffee and fresh fruit all day 💰 Salary sacrifice pension scheme – Maris contributes 15% savings to your pension scheme 🛡️ Life assurance – 3x salary after 12 months’ service 🏥 Employee Assistance Programme – 24/7 online GP service plus mental, financial, and physical wellbeing support
