Design Estimator

We’re hiring for a Design Estimator to join a growing technical contracting business based in Blackburn. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in fire alarm estimating and system design who enjoys a varied role combining technical drawings, site surveys, estimating, and client interaction. What’s on offer? * £35,000 – £50,000 p/a (DOE) * Mon – Fri | 8:30am – 4:30pm * Potential hybrid working * 21 days holiday (+ bank holidays) * Bonus scheme * Standard pension * Overtime available * Free parking * Regular socials, meals, golf days & early finishes What will you be doing as a Design Estimator? * Producing fire and security system designs and technical drawings * Preparing and submitting estimates and tenders * Carrying out site visits and surveys * Using AutoCAD to create compliant system layouts * Working to British Standards and fire categories * Supporting warm enquiries and tender opportunities * Liaising with clients, contractors, and internal teams * Reviewing quotations with the wider team before submission What will you need? * Previous experience in estimating/design within Fire & Security * Good understanding of fire alarm systems and British Standards * Experience using AutoCAD * Strong communication and organisational skills * Ability to manage projects and workload independently Interested?
