Site Manager

The Opportunity We are recruiting for an experienced Finishing Manager to join a major residential development in Bristol comprising a mixture of high-quality apartments and traditionally built homes. This opportunity is with an award-winning privately owned developer and main contractor renowned for delivering premium residential communities, mixed-use developments, and sustainable regeneration projects across the UK. The Role As Finishing Manager, you will take responsibility for overseeing the final stages of construction, ensuring all units are completed to a high specification and handed over in line with programme requirements. You will manage internal trades, coordinate snagging and quality inspections, and work closely with site management teams to ensure the highest standards of finish across both apartment and traditional housing elements of the development. This role would suit someone with a strong eye for detail, excellent organisational skills, and previous experience delivering high-quality residential projects through to completion. Key Responsibilities Managing finishing trades across apartments and traditional housing plots Overseeing snagging, de-snagging, and quality control processes Ensuring all units are delivered to a high standard before handover Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring programme deadlines are met Conducting inspections and monitoring workmanship throughout finishing stages Working closely with customer care and site teams during handover phases Managing health and safety compliance across finishing works Maintaining site records and reporting progress to senior management Requirements Proven experience as a Finishing Manager on residential construction projects Strong understanding of internal fit-out and finishing packages Experience working on apartments, housing developments, or mixed residential schemes Excellent attention to detail and quality management skills Strong communication and subcontractor management ability Essential qualifications include: SMSTS CSCS Card First Aid at Work What’s on Offer Long-term opportunity on a major Bristol residential scheme Competitive salary or day rate High-quality residential development with apartments and traditional homes Opportunity to work with a leading residential developer and contractor
