Quantity Surveyor

Quantity Surveyor - Leeds Zinc Consult is a leading consultancy firm that provides expert advice and solutions for the construction industry. We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our team and work on various multi-disciplinary projects. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for: * Providing accurate cost advice and reporting to our clients * Delivering projects, commissions, and professional assignments * Assuming a leading role in setting objectives and priorities and working as a proactive team player * Maintaining effective communication to ensure all information is available for the successful completion of projects; liaising with other managers to ensure efficient financial control. * Undertaking commercial management services with limited supervision * Delivering all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner * Providing support to the team leader/service leaders in cost management of projects * Representing the company in a professional and diligent manner; meeting, negotiating and corresponding with clients to form strong working relationships. To be successful in this role, you will need: * BSc in quantity surveying or equivalent * Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors desirable * A minimum of three years’ technical delivery experience gained in a commercial position * Pre- and post-contract experience * Specific sector experience in infrastructure, housing, renewables and rail * Experience of broad procurement routes * JCT and NEC contracts experience * Good technical writing, client-facing and communication skills * Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute * A team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful and flexible Zinc Consult is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from all qualified candidates.
