Mechanical Engineer - Sheffield

We’re Hiring: Mechanical Engineer 🚨 📍 Sheffield (Aviation Environment) 💷 £42,000 – £44,000 per annum We’re looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join a high-profile aviation environment in Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a technically demanding setting, supporting critical systems and ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operations. 🔧 What you’ll be doing: ✔️ Carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance across mechanical systems ✔️ Working on HVAC, pumps, compressors, and associated plant ✔️ Diagnosing faults and carrying out timely repairs to minimise downtime ✔️ Supporting projects, upgrades, and installations ✔️ Ensuring full compliance with health & safety standards and site regulations ✔️ Maintaining accurate records using CAFM systems ✔️ Liaising with subcontractors and overseeing specialist works ✔️ Contributing to continuous improvement and energy efficiency initiatives ✔️ Participating in an on-call rota as required 👷 What we’re looking for: • NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) • Experience in building services or industrial maintenance environments • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical plant • Experience in critical or regulated environments (aviation, manufacturing, etc.) desirable • Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills • Ability to work independently and within a team • Familiarity with CAFM systems • Strong understanding of health & safety practices 💼 What’s on offer: 💷 £42,000 – £44,000 salary 🌴 25 days holiday + bank holidays 💼 Company pension scheme 📈 Training, development & career progression 🎯 Access to employee benefits and wellbeing programmes 🚀 Excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer looking to work in a fast-paced, critical environment with strong long-term career prospects
