SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT – BIRMINGHAM We are currently recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with additional needs and making a real difference in their education. ROLE DETAILS * Location: Birmingham * Hours: Full-time (part-time considered) * Start: ASAP * Contract: Ongoing / Temporary with potential for extension * Salary: Competitive, depending on experience ABOUT THE ROLE * Support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a 1:1 basis and in small groups * Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and adapting learning materials * Promote positive behaviour and help maintain a safe, inclusive environment * Support pupils with social, emotional, and communication needs * Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and wider school staff REQUIREMENTS * Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable * A patient, caring, and adaptable approach * Strong communication and teamwork skills * Basic understanding of safeguarding and child protection * Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
