Job Title: Science Teacher (QTS Required) Location: Wigan, Greater Manchester Agency: Spencer Clarke Group Job Type: Temporary / Supply (with potential for long-term or permanent placements) Salary: £150 - £220 per day (dependent on experience) About the Role Spencer Clarke Group is seeking a qualified and passionate Science Teacher to work in mainstream secondary schools across Wigan. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced teachers and ECTs looking to gain flexible or long-term teaching experience. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop curiosity, analytical thinking, and a strong understanding of scientific concepts. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons in line with the national curriculum Teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential) Assess, monitor, and report on student progress Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies Contribute to the wider school community where required Follow safeguarding and school procedures at all times Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential Specialism in Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics) Experience teaching in UK secondary schools Strong classroom and behaviour management skills A passion for Science and student development Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) Right to work in the UK What We Offer Competitive daily rates (£150 - £220) Flexible work to suit your availability Opportunities for long-term and permanent roles Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant Access to a variety of schools across Wigan How to Apply If you are a dedicated Science Teacher with QTS looking for your next opportunity in Wigan, apply today with your CV.
