School Caretaker (Temp to Perm)

Location: Necton, Norfolk Pay: £14.00 per hour Contract: Temp to Perm Hours: Monday to Friday (Split Shift) * 7:00am – 9:30am * 2:30pm – 6:00pm Overview Steady caretaker role within a primary school environment. This is a hands-on position focused on keeping the site safe, secure, and running properly day to day. Clear routine. Long-term opportunity if it works both ways. The Role * Open and lock the school buildings daily * Carry out basic maintenance and minor repairs * Keep the site clean, safe, and presentable * Monitor heating, lighting, and utilities * Complete routine health and safety checks * Manage deliveries and contractor access * Set up rooms for school activities * Respond to on-site issues as they arise What Success Looks Like * The site runs smoothly with no disruption * Issues are picked up early and dealt with quickly * The school is consistently safe and well presented * You manage the split shift reliably Requirements Essential * Basic DIY / maintenance skills * Reliable and punctual * Able to work independently * Good awareness of health and safety * DBS (or willing to complete one) Desirable * Previous caretaker, site assistant, or maintenance experience * Experience working in a school or similar setting Additional Information * Immediate start available * Consistent weekday hours * Temp to perm opportunity About the Employer This role is advertised by 1Four1 Recruitment, working in partnership with a primary school in Necton
