Logistics Manager – Civil Engineering Projects Plymouth (Site-Based Role) SC Clearance Required We are currently seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to join our team on major civil engineering projects based in Plymouth. This is a site-based role requiring strong leadership, planning, and health & safety expertise to ensure the efficient coordination of all logistics operations. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive site logistics plans to manage deliveries, traffic flow, storage areas, and waste removal efficiently. Plan and coordinate the movement of materials, equipment, and personnel across the construction site. Oversee logistics-related health & safety compliance, including vehicle movements, site access, and pedestrian segregation. Lead and manage the logistics team, ensuring effective resource allocation and alignment with project schedules. Ensure all vehicle movements, crane operations, and material handling activities comply with CDM Regulations and relevant safety standards. Maintain accurate records of logistics activities, delivery performance, and site constraints. Lead daily logistics briefings and toolbox talks, promoting a strong safety-first culture among teams and suppliers. Requirements Valid SC Clearance (or eligibility to obtain it). Must be a UK resident. Valid CSCS card Demonstrable experience working on high-profile or large-scale construction/civil engineering projects. Proven experience in a logistics management role within civil engineering or major construction environments. Strong understanding of construction site logistics, traffic management, and health & safety regulations. Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills. Ability to work full-time on site in Plymouth.
