SEN Teacher (QTS) – Post-16 The Opportunity A fantastic opportunity to join a highly respected specialist college in Yeovil, Somerset, set within a beautiful rural setting. This provision is known for its strong, supportive team and commitment to helping young people develop independence and life skills. You will teach learners aged 16 to 18 with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including autism spectrum conditions, moderate to severe learning difficulties, and complex behavioural, emotional and medical needs, all supported through EHCPs. Role & Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs Develop and implement creative curriculum plans and schemes of work Act as a personal tutor, supporting learners to achieve EHCP outcomes Promote independence, resilience and engagement in learning Manage and support complex behaviours effectively Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team Contribute to areas such as life skills, functional learning and PSHE Working Hours & Contract Full-time, permanent role with immediate start Hours: 8.30am to 4pm Term-time position within a specialist setting What We’re Looking For QTS, PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification Passion for supporting learners with SEN and autism Strong organisational and lesson planning skills Creative, proactive and adaptable approach Ability to manage diverse and complex needs Commitment to working within a team-focused environment Why Work with Teaching Personnel?
