Business Development Manager Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum + Commission Location: Home-based with travel across the UK & Ireland Nolan Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a growing, engineering-led business that is looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager to support continued expansion across the UK and Ireland. This is a senior, autonomous role offering the opportunity to work closely with executive leadership and play a key part in driving new and repeat business. The Role Reporting to the Executive Director, you will be responsible for developing and managing commercial opportunities, strengthening existing client relationships and identifying new routes to market. Key responsibilities include: * Proactively identifying and developing new business opportunities * Managing the full sales lifecycle from lead through to order * Producing detailed technical and commercial quotations and bid submissions * Ensuring all quotations are followed up in a timely and professional manner * Interpreting technical specifications and drawings where required * Maintaining and growing relationships with existing customers through regular engagement * Developing new customer relationships through market research, networking and industry insight * Contributing to forecasts and business plans alongside senior leadership * Monitoring KPIs and producing performance reports as required * Representing the business at exhibitions, trade shows and industry events * Maintaining accurate CRM records and sales documentation * Deputising for senior leadership when required The Ideal Candidate You will be a confident, self-motivated business development professional with a strong commercial mindset and the ability to manage a wide geographic territory.
