The role As an Ocean Freight Export Operator, you will manage ocean export shipments from start to finish, ensuring cargo moves efficiently, documentation is completed accurately, and customers receive a high level of service throughout the process. You will work closely with customers, shipping lines, hauliers, overseas agents, and internal departments to keep shipments moving smoothly and meet all deadlines. Key responsibilities Handling ocean export shipments from booking through to completion Arranging bookings with shipping lines, hauliers, and overseas agents Preparing export documentation accurately and within deadlines Managing shipment progress and providing updates to customers Liaising with carriers, agents, and internal teams to ensure smooth movement of freight Raising job files, invoices, and internal costings Resolving shipment issues, delays, and documentation queries Ensuring all work is completed in line with company procedures and industry requirements What we're looking for Previous experience in ocean freight exports Experience working within a freight forwarding environment Strong understanding of the end-to-end export process Good communication and customer service skills Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability Ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment A proactive and team-focused approach What's on offer Salary up to £31,000 Bonus worth 2 months' salary Monday to Friday hours only, 9:00am - 5:30pm Genuine opportunities to learn and progress Supportive working environment Chance to join a business that is part of a larger group with offices across the UK Long-term career prospectsWR Logistics are the #1 recruitment partner for all vacancies in the logistics industry.
