Mechanical Design Engineer

Design Engineer – Market-Leading Manufacturing Company Are you an experienced Design Engineer with a passion for innovation? Our client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with a minimum of 3 years mechanical design experience, along with being involved in designing sheet metal and fabricated products with complex assembly. Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical; Design Engineer: * Design and manufacture products from concept to productionready solutions. * Ensure all product designs comply with the latest regulations and standards. Collaborate with sales, purchasing, subcontractors, and production teams to create feasible, cost-effective designs. * Manage design projects, timelines, and resources to ensure successful delivery. * Provide technical support for sales with customer quote drawings and bespoke solutions. * Drive continuous improvement in design methods and production procedures. * Adopt a handson approach to problem-solving during the design and manufacturing process. * Maintain technical documentation, including CAD drawings and compliance records. * Visit local production sites to assist with design clarifications and problemsolving. Person Profile: * Relevant engineering qualification (Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field). * Minimum of 4 years experience, ideally with sheet metal and with products involving complex assembly * Proficient in CAD software (Autodesk Inventor or similar). * Knowledge of safety regulations, compliance processes, and industry standards. * Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to nontechnical audiences. * Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and tight deadlines. * Creative, innovative, and solutionsoriented with attention to detail.
