Credit Control Administrator


Credit Control Administration Key Duties and Responsibilities * Proactively contact customers to chase outstanding payments. * Monitor customer account balances and ensure timely collections in line with agreed credit terms. * Liaise with the sales and customer service teams regarding disputed invoices or delayed payments. * Escalate high-risk accounts or non-payment issues to the Finance Manager * Set up and maintain accurate customer records in the accounting system. * Allocate incoming payments against the correct invoices. * Monitor and manage credit limits, placing accounts on hold where necessary. * Assist with the preparation of weekly/monthly aged debtor reports. * Support monthly statement runs and ad hoc customer account reconciliations. * Help with the preparation of internal reports for management review. * Rebate & Claim back Calculations. * Customer Sales Reporting. * Ensure all documentation is filed accurately (digitally or physically) in line with data protection requirements. * Process credit application forms and support credit checks on new customers. * Respond promptly and professionally to internal and external queries. * Coordinate customer credits or refunds when required. * Process incoming funds, and negotiate re-payment plans. * Arrange customer collections. * General office duties as required by the Finance Director. Experience and Person Specification * Previous experience in a credit control (ideally within manufacturing sector). * Confident in dealing with customers over the phone and via email. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling. * Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team * Familiarity with computer software systems – Opera would be an advantage but not essential. * An in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel to include Pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and other advanced Excel functions for reporting and reconciliation is desirable. * Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail and a methodical approach. * Appreciation of confidentiality and discretion Hours: 35.5 hours per week Monday to Thursday 8:45 a.m. to 4:45 pm, Friday 8:45am to 14:45pm
