About the role Due to continued company growth, we are seeking to appoint a Stores Person to join our Severn Trent Water framework. The role will support the Hathersage to Worksop Clean Water Pipeline Project, providing an efficient and well‑organised stores and materials management service. This position is critical to ensuring materials are available when required, stock levels are accurately maintained, and all pipework, fittings and plant are controlled in line with project, commercial, safety and quality requirements. Location: Barlbourough, Derbyshire.  Key Responsibilities Manage the day‑to‑day operation of the project stores and yard. Receive, issue and control clean water pipework, fittings, valves and ancillary materials. Maintain accurate stock records and inventory lists, including monthly rolling stock checks. Manage stock of ductile iron, steel, PE (MDPE/HDPE) and PVC pipework and fittings. Issue materials to site teams in accordance with drawings, work packs and programme requirements. Liaise with suppliers regarding pricing, availability and delivery schedules. Safely load, unload and move materials using a telescopic handler (Loadall). Maintain the stores, yard and surrounding areas in a clean, organised and safe condition. Control PPE stock and ensure all issued PPE is correctly logged and recorded. Skills & Experience Required Proven experience as a Stores Person within the utilities, water or civil engineering sectors. Strong knowledge of clean water pipework systems, fittings and associated materials. Experience receiving, issuing and controlling materials within a stores environment. Ability to create, maintain and reconcile accurate stock and inventory records. Good understanding of clean water suppliers and supply chain processes. Highly organised with strong communication skills and a proactive approach to work.
