Field Service PSV/HGV Technician

Field Service Technician – Coventry (Field-Based) Salary: £43,500 per annum Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:00 (8-hour days). Overtime available. Location: Field-based – Coventry with frequent travel and occasional nights away Contract: Permanent Earning Potential (OTE) Basic Salary: £43,500 per year Overtime Rate: Time-and-a-half (1.5x) Monday – Saturday Overtime Rate: Double time (2x) Sunday and Bank Holidays With 5 hours overtime per week + 2 bank holidays per year: + £8,820 per year Realistic OTE: £52,320+ per year Overview We're looking for a skilled Field Service Technician to join the team. You'll support the dealer network with pre-delivery inspections, repairs, and technical expertise. This role is ideal for someone from a PSV or HGV background with workshop experience who wants a more customer-facing role. Own company vehicle provided. Key Responsibilities Conduct pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) and repairs on new vehicles Support dealers with on-site PDIs and repairs Inspect, maintain, and rectify used vehicles Fit additional equipment (CCTV, USB ports, monitors) Assist with on-site diagnostics and investigations Oversee bodybuilder quality inspections What You'll Need NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair PSV or HGV background with hands-on workshop experience Full UK driving licence (PSV licence preferred) Strong diagnostic skills and ability to read schematics Electrical wiring experience Good communication and organisational skills Benefits Include Own company vehicle provided Pension matched up to 5% + death in service 25 days holiday rising to 30 days + bank holidays Enhanced maternity (6 months full pay) and paternity (5 weeks) Discounts on shopping, cinema, holidays, travel Gym discounts Don't tick every box?
