Role: Environmental Clerk of Works Location: Thurso Duration: 5 Months Hours: Monday to Friday , 7 am to 6 pm. The role: Promote best practice in environmental and sustainability matters in conjunction with the wider function. · Carry out regular inspections of sites and workplaces to determine whether work is being carried out in accordance with Company Policy, Procedures, and the relevant Statutory Provisions · Assist with incident investigations in accordance with the Company procedure and, analysing all data, making recommendations to avoid any reoccurrences. · Collate Business / Contract environmental and sustainability statistics in a timely manner and submit to the Environmental Management & wider function for reporting purposes. · Review environmental information to identify trends and areas for improvement. implement Environmental campaigns and improvement plans in agreement with the environmental Management · Advise and support project teams with managing their environmental and sustainability responsibilities. · Provide advice, support, and assistance to all project personnel to enable them to manage their environmental responsibilities. · Assist the team to identify any environmental consents / permits or exemptions that are required and ensure they are obtained. · Maintain records as necessary to ensure compliance with Legislation, Company procedures and Contract Requirements. · Protect sensitive habitats, watercourses, soils and species around Banniskirk. · Ensure compliance with planning conditions, SEPA requirements, and mitigation contained within the Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP). · Water environment protection · Ecological protection and supervision · Waste materials and pollution control · Non conformance reporting For more information and immediate consideration please apply for the role Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people
