Technical Specialist

Client information Our client is a leading engineering organisation specialising in water and wastewater solutions, delivering innovative and technically advanced projects across the sector. Technical Specialist - Wastewater roles and responsibilities * Act as the subject matter expert for wastewater process engineering, providing technical leadership across the organisation. * Support bid and delivery teams with high-level technical expertise and guidance on wastewater treatment solutions. * Conduct in-depth research and evaluation of new and emerging technologies, advising on feasibility, risks, and implementation. * Serve as a key liaison with technology licensors, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and strong technical relationships. * Promote knowledge sharing and continuous development within the process engineering team. * Contribute to the development and maintenance of company-wide engineering standards and best practices. * Support business development activities including technical presentations, seminars, and tender input. * Assist in the technical assessment of suppliers and subcontractors where required. Technical Specialist - Wastewater requirements * Degree (or equivalent) in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline. * Significant experience within the wastewater sector, with strong technical expertise in process engineering. * Ability to work independently and act as a technical authority within the business. * Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal. * Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. IChemE, CIWEM) and/or Chartered status is desirable. * Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and familiarity with engineering tools. * Ability to stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry developments.
