Mechanical Engineer

Overview A specialist engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a high-performing technical team working across multiple advanced industries. The role involves the end-to-end design and development of complex mechanical systems and products from concept through to prototype and production. Projects span: * Advanced energy systems * Propulsion technologies * High-performance mechanical systems * Cross-sector product development programmes Key Responsibilities * Lead mechanical design of complex systems and assemblies (concept → production) * Produce CAD models and detailed manufacturing drawings * Carry out engineering calculations and FEA analysis * Support prototype build, testing, and iterative design improvements * Select materials and manufacturing processes Required Experience * Degree in Mechanical / Automotive / Aerospace Engineering or similar * 5+ years mechanical design experience post-graduation * Strong CAD experience (SolidWorks preferred) * Hands-on prototyping/testing experience desirable * Experience in industries such as motorsport, aerospace, energy, marine, or advanced product development Package * Competitive salary * Performance bonus * Pension + healthcare * 30+ days holiday
