Care Assistant

Care Assistant Location: Wareham Pay Rate: £16.80 per hour (via umbrella) Shift Pattern: 09:00 to 16:00, Monday to Sunday Contract Type: 1:1 package of care We are currently recruiting an experienced Care Assistant to support a 1:1 package in Wareham for a female client living with dementia. This is a community-based role, so we are looking for someone who enjoys getting out and about, supporting people to remain active and engaged. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this position. This package is currently covered by two regular carers, and there is also the potential for the role to develop into a live-in package in the future for anyone who may be interested. The role will involve: * Supporting the client at home and out in the community * Promoting independence, emotional wellbeing and daily routine * Providing practical and emotional support * Managing and appropriately de-escalating behaviours that may challenge * Following care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures * Working closely with the wider care and clinical team * Maintaining professional boundaries at all times What we are looking for: * Previous experience in a care or support role * Experience supporting people living with dementia * Confidence working on a 1:1 basis * A calm, compassionate and proactive approach * Strong communication and observational skills * A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle If you are an experienced carer looking for a rewarding 1:1 role with continuity, regular shifts and the opportunity to make a genuine difference, we would love to hear from you
