Controls Engineer 📍 Near Huddersfield (Hybrid Working) | 💼 Full-time | 💰 £40,000 – £60,000 + Benefits We are working with a well-established and growing engineering manufacturer based near Huddersfield, delivering specialist equipment and solutions into highly regulated and technical industries. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Controls Engineer to support the development of advanced control systems across their product range. 🔧 The Role As a Controls Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, programming, and development of control systems for bespoke engineered solutions. Key responsibilities include: * PLC programming and development (from scratch and modification) * Design and implementation of control systems for specialist equipment * Commissioning and testing of systems (on-site and occasionally at customer sites) * Working closely with mechanical and electrical design teams * Supporting continuous improvement and innovation in control strategies * Troubleshooting and fault-finding on existing systems 🧠 What We’re Looking For * Experience in PLC programming (e.g. Siemens, Allen Bradley, or similar) * Background in controls system design and development * Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics * Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills * Ability to work effectively in a hybrid role (office + remote) ⭐ Desirable * HMI/SCADA experience * Knowledge of automation systems or special purpose machinery * Experience with commissioning * Experience working within regulated or high-spec environments 💼 What’s on Offer * Salary: £40,000 – £60,000 (depending on experience) * Hybrid working arrangement * Opportunity to work on technically interesting and varied projects * Stable and growing business * Collaborative engineering environment * Career development opportunities 📩 Interested?
