Mechanical Desgin Engineer

Location: Glasgow Salary: Up to £45,000 (depending on experience) First Achieve is seeking a skilled and hands-on Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Glasgow. This role combines fabrication design with on-site surveying, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both technical design work and practical. What You'll Do Produce detailed fabrication drawings and designs based on client requirements Visit client sites to carry out surveys, take accurate measurements, and assess project needs Liaise directly with clients to clarify specifications and ensure design accuracy Work closely with fabrication teams to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable Support projects from concept through to production and installation What We're Looking For Proven experience in mechanical design, ideally within fabrication or manufacturing Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) Strong attention to detail, particularly when conducting site measurements Willingness to travel to client sites as part of the role Good communication skills and a professional approach with clients Full UK driving licence What We Offer Competitive salary up to £45,000 Diverse projects with a mix of office and site-based work Opportunity for professional growth and development Supportive and collaborative team environment How to Apply Please send your CV and a brief cover letter to with the subject line: Mechanical Design Engineer Application - Glasgow
