Graduate Site Manager


Fawkes & Reece are currently working with a valued client to recruit a Graduate Site Manager to join their Aftercare Team within the construction sector. This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity covering projects across Central London and the Greater London area, offering excellent long-term career progression within a well-established construction business. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or someone early in their construction career who is looking to develop their skills within the final stages of project delivery, with a strong focus on internal works, snagging, and high-quality finishes. You will gain hands-on experience supporting the aftercare process, working closely with experienced professionals, and ensuring that completed projects meet the highest standards prior to and after client handover. Key Responsibilities • Assist in managing the aftercare and defects process from pre-handover through to the end of the defects liability period, with a focus on internal finishes • Support the identification, monitoring, and resolution of snagging items and defects across residential and/or commercial interiors • Carry out and assist with detailed snagging inspections, ensuring high-quality workmanship across finishes such as drylining, painting, flooring, joinery, and M&E interfaces • Coordinate subcontractors and trades to ensure timely completion of finishing and remedial works • Attend site inspections across multiple projects, focusing on quality control of internal elements • Maintain accurate snagging lists and update internal systems with progress on defect resolution • Assist in producing progress reports with a focus on snagging status and close-out of internal works • Support handover processes, ensuring all internal areas are completed to a high standard prior to client occupation • Ensure compliance with company quality standards and contractual obligations Relationship Management • Build positive working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams • Work closely with site teams, finishing managers, and subcontractors to drive high-quality internal delivery • Support communication between project teams and stakeholders regarding snagging and defect resolution • Assist in resolving queries and providing clear updates on finishing progress and outstanding items • Work collaboratively within a team while developing confidence to take on more responsibility Requirements • Degree in Construction Management or a related field • Strong interest in internals, finishing trades, and quality control within construction • Valid CSCS card (essential) • SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) certification (desirable) • Good attention to detail, particularly with snagging and finishes • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Organised, proactive, and eager to learn • Ability to manage time effectively and support multiple tasks/projects • Basic understanding of internal construction packages (e.g. drylining, joinery, M&E) is beneficial • Comfortable using digital systems and willing to learn new tools What’s on Offer • £17 – £19 per hour (temporary period) • Opportunity to transition into a permanent role • Structured training and mentorship from experienced professionals • Exposure to a variety of projects across London, with a focus on high-quality internal finishes • Clear career progression within the business • Supportive and collaborative working environment Why Apply?
