D365 Project Operations – Functional Architect 📍 Location: UK & EU 📄 Contract Role | 🌍 Remote Are you a Dynamics 365 Project Operations expert who enjoys owning the big picture? Do you thrive on designing end-to-end project lifecycle solutions that connect sales, delivery, and finance seamlessly? We’re looking for a D365 Project Operations Functional Architect to join a large-scale transformation program. This is a high-visibility contract role where you’ll shape how project-driven organizations plan, deliver, bill, and recognize revenue—end to end. 🔍 What You’ll Do ✨ Own and define the end-to-end D365 Project Operations functional architecture ✨ Design solutions covering project sales, estimation, pricing & costing, WBS, scheduling, resourcing, budgeting, subcontracting, time & expense, invoicing, and revenue recognition ✨ Drive fit-gap analysis, process standardization, and global delivery templates ✨ Lead functional design governance with a configuration-first mindset ✨ Partner with Finance, Sales, Delivery, Procurement, PMO, and Technical teams ✨ Oversee CRP, UAT, Go-Live, and Hypercare readiness ✨ Ensure strong alignment across project accounting, GL, billing, and revenue ✨ Embed audit, compliance, security, and segregation-of-duties controls ✨ Create process documentation, SOPs, and training to drive adoption ✨ Mentor functional consultants and enable continuous improvement through KPIs 🧠 What We’re Looking For ✔ 8–12 years’ experience in project operations or professional services environments ✔ Mandatory experience delivering 2–3 full end-to-end PSA / Project Ops implementations ✔ Proven background as a Functional Architect or Lead Functional Consultant ✔ Strong hands-on expertise across the full project lifecycle ✔ Deep understanding of project accounting, margin analysis, billing models, and revenue rules ✔ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills 🌟 Nice to Have ➕ Multiple D365 Project Operations implementations ➕ Power Platform experience (Power Automate / Power Apps) ➕ Certifications in Dynamics 365, PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile 🎯 Why Apply? 🔥 Strategic, architect-level contract role 🔥 Work on complex, enterprise-scale transformations 🔥 Opportunity across UK & EU markets 🔥 Make a real impact on how projects are delivered and governed
