Assistant Site Manager – Multi-Phased Residential Development Stevenage, Hertfordshire Full-time | Permanent Competitive salary + package We are currently seeking a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Site Manager to join a well-established residential developer on a large, multi-phased housing development in Stevenage. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a long-term project, supporting the delivery of high-quality homes from groundworks through to handover. The Role As Assistant Site Manager, you will work closely with the Site Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the site. You will play a key role in maintaining build quality, health & safety standards, and programme targets across multiple phases. Key Responsibilities Assist in managing all on-site operations across various build stages Supervise subcontractors and ensure work is completed to specification Maintain high standards of health & safety compliance Monitor build progress against programme deadlines Conduct quality inspections and ensure snagging is completed efficiently Support the coordination of materials and site logistics Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders Requirements Previous experience in a similar role within residential construction Strong understanding of traditional build housing developments Valid CSCS card, SMSTS/SSSTS, and First Aid certification Excellent communication and organisational skills Proactive, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-phase environment What’s on Offer Competitive salary with performance-related bonuses Car allowance or company vehicle Pension and additional benefits package Opportunity to grow within a reputable and expanding developer Long-term project stability on a flagship development If you’re looking to take the next step in your site management career and be part of a major residential scheme, we’d love to hear from you.
