Service Advisor

We are looking for a skilled and professional Service Advisor to join our client's busy independent garage in Walsall. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced Service Advisor to manage the full customer journey, from initial enquiry through to final invoice. The successful Service Advisor will have strong mechanical knowledge and customer service skills, ensuring a seamless experience for all clients. Benefits: Competitive salary up to £28,000 basic, with potential for higher earnings for a Senior Service Advisor OTE of £33,000+ including bonus schemes Monday to Friday working hours: 8:30am – 5:30pm Saturday rota: 1 in 2 Saturdays, 8:30am – 12:30pm Supportive environment with development and progression opportunities Varied role covering all workshop and customer service aspectsDuties: Act as the primary point of contact for customers, managing enquiries and bookings Check in vehicles, communicate issues to technicians, and provide accurate estimates Obtain customer approval for additional work and monitor jobs through the workshop Draft invoices, process payments, and handle administrative tasks using Dealer Management Systems (DMS) Liaise with parts suppliers and technicians to ensure smooth workflow Deliver excellent customer service, maintaining high standards throughout the customer journeyRequirements: Previous experience in an independent garage as a Service Advisor Strong mechanical understanding of cars and light commercial vehicles Hands-on experience with Dealer Management Systems (preferably 1Link), Autodata, and Microsoft Office Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to interpret technical repair information and advise clients clearly Reside within approximately 10 miles of Walsall for operational efficiency Full UK Driving LicenceJoining our client’s garage as a Service Advisor offers a rewarding career in a hands-on environment.
