Quality Technician

Job Summary We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Quality Technician for our client. This role is key to ensuring our products consistently meet customer, regulatory, and internal quality standards across all manufacturing operations. Working within a small, dedicated team and reporting to the Quality Supervisor, you will provide rapid support to resolve quality concerns, carry out in-process inspections, maintain and calibrate measurement equipment, manage containment activities, and support warranty investigations. The role involves daily interaction with Production, Customer Parts Quality, and Supplier Quality Assurance, along with occasional travel to customer sites. This is a three-shift rotational position, requiring flexibility, independence, and strong decision-making under pressure. What We’re Looking For * Experience in medium- to high-volume manufacturing environments. • Strong practical skills in part gauging, X10 profiling, colour matching, and precision measurement. * Confident problem-solving, data analysis, and reporting abilities. • Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal teams, customers, and suppliers. * A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail. * GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English, and a Technical/Science subject; IT proficiency in Excel and Word. Desirable * HNC in Mechanical Engineering or a related Quality discipline. • Experience with CMM or Measuring Arm equipment, gauge calibration, and warranty investigations. * Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949; internal auditing experience.
