Quality Improvement Technician Location: East/Central Birmingham Employment type: Permanent - Full-Time - Day Shifts Salary £14.02 per hour (first 6 months) £14.27 per hour (after 6 months) Weekly pay 6-month probation period Working Hours 39 hours per week (day shift): Monday-Tuesday: 9:00am - 6:00pm Wednesday-Thursday: 9:00am - 5:00pm Friday: 9:00am - 4:30pm The Opportunity Our client, a well-established and growing distribution business, is seeking a Quality Improvement Technician to join their team at a busy warehouse operation in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for quality to play a key role in maintaining standards, improving processes, and supporting operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Conduct quality inspections, including goods-in checks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Record, analyse, and report inspection outcomes to management Investigate quality issues and implement corrective and preventative actions Complete Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and maintain accurate records Carry out Random Quality Checks (RQC's) across products Support internal audits, calibration activities, and document control Ensure quality documentation is up to date and compliant with company procedures Process product returns using internal systems Assist in preparation for external audits and support training where required Develop and maintain strong product knowledge Promote a "Right First-Time" culture across the warehouse Benefits A comprehensive benefits package is available, including: 31 days annual leave (rising with service) including compulsory Christmas/New Year shutdown.
