Site Enigneer

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Site Engineer to support ongoing and upcoming residential infrastructure projects. This role will focus heavily on residential groundworks, including roads and sewers, and requires a hands-on engineer with strong setting-out and coordination skills. Key Responsibilities - Setting out for residential groundworks packages, including roads, drainage, and foundations - Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications, and QA requirements - Managing and interpreting technical drawings and site documentation - Coordinating with site managers, subcontractors, and design teams - Carrying out as-built surveys and maintaining accurate site records - Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations at all times - Supporting progress reporting and resolving technical issues on site Requirements - Proven experience as a Site Engineer within residential groundworks - Strong knowledge of roads and sewers (278 works, drainage, adoptable standards) - Proficient in setting out using GPS and total station equipment - Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications - CSCS card (essential) - SMSTS or SSSTS (desirable) - Own equipment preferred but not essential - Strong communication and problem-solving skills
