Health & Safety Partner

We’re working with a major UK infrastructure organisation at the heart of national logistics and trade, looking to appoint a Health & Safety Partner to play a key role in shaping and delivering a progressive safety culture. This is a high-impact, visible role where you’ll influence operations across a complex, multi-activity environment—combining strategic input with hands-on delivery. The Role You’ll act as a trusted partner to operational leaders, driving safety performance and embedding best practice across a varied, high-risk setting. Key responsibilities: * Partner with leaders to improve H&S performance and culture * Provide expert advice on risk, governance and compliance * Lead incident investigations, audits and reporting * Support emergency planning, contractor management & critical controls * Deliver training, coaching and behavioural safety initiatives * Contribute to ISO 45001 systems and wider safety strategy About You You’re a proactive, solutions-focused H&S professional who thrives in operational environments and can influence at all levels. Essential: * NEBOSH Diploma / NVQ Level 5 (or equivalent) * Experience in complex or high-risk environments * Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation * Experience with audits, investigations and compliance * Working knowledge of ISO 45001 * Full UK driving licence Desirable: * Background in infrastructure, logistics, marine, construction or similar * Experience with contractor management / CDM * Exposure to behavioural safety or continuous improvement * Interest in using digital/AI tools to enhance safety culture What’s on Offer * 25 days holiday + bank holidays + birthday leave * Generous pension & discretionary bonus * Private healthcare & life assurance * Employee perks, discounts & wellbeing support * Free parking + cycle to work scheme
