This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Quality Engineer to play a key role in shaping and maintaining a robust Business Management System (BMS) while working closely with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers. 🔧 What you'll be doing In this senior role within the Quality team, you'll help drive quality excellence across the full product lifecycle. Maintaining and continually improving the Business Management System (BMS) in line with ISO 9001 and defence quality standards Managing the internal audit programme and conducting audits to ensure compliance and drive improvement Leading root cause analysis and corrective actions using 8D, 5 Whys and similar methodologies Supporting design reviews and customer quality requirements across bids and contracts Investigating customer returns and non-conformances Driving supplier quality performance, including audits, APQP activity, FAIs and improvement plans Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance processes, reduce defects and strengthen the supply chain 🎯 What we're looking for Experience managing BMS/QMS within a design & manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of quality systems, audits and continuous improvement Practical experience with 8D problem solving and root cause analysis Ability to develop clear processes, procedures and quality documentation Confident communicator able to engage with engineers, suppliers and customers Desirable experience Defence, aerospace or electro-mechanical manufacturing environments Knowledge of AQAP2110 or AS9100 Supplier quality and design assurance experience ⚖️ Work-life balance 37.5 hour week Early finish every Friday Hybrid / flexible working 28 days holiday + Christmas shutdown Holiday purchase scheme 🎁 Benefits Matched pension up to 5% Life assurance & income protection Remote GP, physiotherapy and mental health support EV salary sacrifice scheme Share incentive plan Strong learning & development opportunities Free onsite parking 💡 If you're passionate about quality, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence, this is a chance to make a real impact within a highly innovative defence organisation. 📩 Interested?
