Accounts Semi-Senior (PQ) Job Title: Audit & Accounts Semi-Senior (PQ) Location: Berkshire Contract Type: Permanent Employer: Small to Medium sized Chartered Accountancy Practice Salary: £30,000 to £40,000 per annumbase Private Healthcare + 25 days holiday + pension 4% matched + life assurance + flexible hours Hybrid working - 4 days in the office, 1 day from home. About the Firm We're supporting a respected small to medium sized Chartered Accountancy Practice in Berkshire with a strong reputation for developing staff and providing a diverse, hands‑on workload. The firm works with clients ranging from 1‑man‑bands, partnerships and small limited companies through to £10-15 million turnover businesses across a range of sectors. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an Audit & Accounts Semi‑Senior who enjoys a varied role combining audit work, accounts preparation and some bookkeeping duties. The Role This is a genuinely mixed position offering exposure across the full spectrum of general practice work. You'll support Managers and Seniors on preparring management accounts and statutory accounts for a wide range of clients, and assist with bookkeeping when required. This accountancy practice is happy to take someone on AAT Qualified, part-qualified ACCA or QBE. Key Responsibilities Accounts Prep Prepare year‑end statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and SMEs Draft corporation tax computations (training provided if needed) Work closely with Senior staff to finalise accounts for partner review Bookkeeping & VAT Perform bookkeeping duties for a mix of clients Prepare and submit VAT returns Maintain accurate financial records using cloud accounting software Client Base You'll gain exposure across a varied and interesting portfolio including: Sole traders and freelancers Small Ltd companies across multiple industries Owner‑managed businesses Groups and entities up to £10-15 million turnoverThis variety provides excellent technical development and career broadening.
