EC&I Lead

Are you currently working as an EC&I Lead or similar, looking to work on and deliver large scale projects within the Energy Sector? Are you interested in the opportunity to be involved in 2 of the UK’s largest projects, Hinkley Point C and Sizewell? Emeya Recruitment are currently working with a leading Engineering company, their head office is based in the North West and they work nationally. They work in a variety of sectors with a particularly strong reputation within Energy, Defence and Transport. They are a key delivery partner on both Hinkley Point and Sizewell C, they have long term work ahead of them and it is a great opportunity for someone who wants to be involved in and deliver landmark projects. They currently have an opportunity for an EC&I Lead, this position is based out of their Head office in the North West but will require some travel to site. EC&I Lead Role Responsibilities: * Take full ownership of the Instrument and controls package on large scale Energy projects. * Working closely with the Senior Project Manager, review and understand package requirements in relation to EC&I. * Review and understand client specifications, prepare internal specifications and manufacturing details. * Determine and arrange resource, materials requirements and site demands. * Take a lead role in coordination and package management. * Assist and define procurement strategy including equipment and materials. * Commercially aware, offering input into commercial restraints. * Coordinate with the Design and Engineering department to ensure the correct standards, specifications and information is produced. * Recognise variations and delays to the tendered scope of works and ensure they are properly reported. * Carry out accurate surveys and site measurements. * Manage and mentor junior members of the team. * Attend site and client meetings, building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. * Ensure safe working systems, method statements, risk assessments. EC&I Lead Role Requirements: * Demonstrable experience leading and managing EC&I Projects with accountability for coordination, programme and delivery. * A proven track record of managing, delivering complex technical problems, streamlining process and delivering solutions. * Comfortable leading and challenging poor performance and ineffective ways of working in a positive, solutions based way. * Experience managing and onboarding sub contractors. * A good knowledge of instrumentation and controls is essential. * The ability to manage and control technical deliverables. * Capable of managing the interface between EC&I, HVAC and Mechanical systems. * Competent in programme led delivery, working to strict governance and guidelines. * Confident decision maker, capable of leading from the front. * This role is head office based but will require regular travel to site. * Ideally HND or degree qualified but this is not a pre requisite.
