Learning Support Assistant

Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) looking to step into a more flexible, rewarding tutoring role? Powertutors is seeking dedicated LSAs to provide tailored 1:1 and small group support for pupils in schools and alternative provisions, as well as through local authority commissioned tuition. The Role As an LSA Tutor, you will: * Deliver personalised academic and pastoral support * Work with pupils with SEND, SEMH, or those out of mainstream education * Support literacy, numeracy, and core subject learning * Build confidence and re-engage learners with education * Provide session feedback and progress reports Assignments may take place in schools, community settings, or at home (in line with safeguarding policies). 💼 What We Offer * Flexible, self-employed opportunities * Competitive hourly rates (£15–£25 per hour depending on experience and assignment) * Choose the days and hours that suit you * Ongoing placements with local authority and school referrals * Supportive and responsive coordination team ✅ We’re Looking For * Experience working as an LSA or Teaching Assistant * Experience supporting pupils with SEND or additional needs * Strong behaviour management and communication skills * Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) * A passion for helping young people succeed If you are a committed LSA ready to make a bigger impact through personalised tutoring, we’d love to hear from you
