Night Shift Warehouse Operative – YO8 Location: YO8 Pay Rate: £13.73 per hour Shift Times: * 10:00pm – 7:00am * 11:30pm – 8:30am We are currently recruiting Night Shift Warehouse Operatives for a busy parcel distribution warehouse in the YO8 area. This role is ideal for reliable and hardworking individuals who are comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Job Description: As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for supporting the night operation to ensure parcels are processed and dispatched efficiently. The role involves handling a high volume of parcels, working as part of a team, and following warehouse procedures to keep operations running smoothly. Key Responsibilities: * Loading and unloading delivery wagons and trailers * Sorting parcels using the conveyor belt system * Scanning parcels using handheld scanning equipment * Checking parcel labels and ensuring they are correct and clearly visible * Moving parcels to the correct loading bays and dispatch areas * Keeping the work area clean, tidy, and safe at all times * Following health and safety procedures within the warehouse * Working as part of a team to meet nightly targets and deadlines * Reporting any damaged parcels or label issues to supervisors Requirements: * Must have hi-vis vest and safety boots * Previous warehouse or parcel sorting experience is beneficial but not essential * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle manual work * Good attention to detail when scanning and checking labels * Reliable, punctual, and able to work night shifts * Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Pay Rate: £13.73 per hour This is a great opportunity for individuals looking for night shift warehouse work with immediate starts available
