Senior Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical) – Electrical Bias Location: Birmingham Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + Shift Allowance + Benefits (Total package circa £50,000) Monday-Friday I am recruiting an experienced Senior Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join a leading manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer with strong electrical bias to support production through effective maintenance and team leadership. Key Responsibilities: Support and guide maintenance engineers and TPM engineers in daily tasks Collaborate closely with technical support, quality, and manufacturing teams Promote safe working practices and maintain a clean, healthy working environment Work with specialist equipment and support new machine introductions Carry out routine, preventative, and breakdown maintenance on automated production lines Perform fault finding across electrical, robotics, PLC, HMI, servo motors, and drives Lead continuous improvement activities on production equipment Skills & Experience Required: Minimum 10 years’ maintenance experience in mechanical and electrical engineering Strong CNC experience (mechanical & electrical) PLC trained with experience in Fanuc robots and servo motors/drives Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings HNC Electrical/Electronic qualification or higher Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Able to work on own initiative and collaboratively within a team Awareness of health and safety regulations Willing to work a double day shift pattern, with weekend and shutdown maintenance support as needed Benefits: Competitive salary with shift allowance Holiday – 25 days plus 8 bank holidays Overtime opportunities (regular) Life assurance (2x cover) Auto-enrolment pension scheme Potential quarterly bonus (£1,100 per year) 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays Employee assistance programme and discount schemes Hours: Double day shift pattern: Week 1: Mon-Thurs 6am–2pm, Fri 6am–11am Week 2: Mon-Thurs 2pm–10pm, Fri 11am–4pm
