The Electrical Design Engineer Role — What You’ll Be Working On You’ll take ownership of electrical design activities across a range of water and wastewater projects. No two jobs are the same, and you’ll be involved from early concept through to detailed design and delivery. As a Electrical Design Engineer, expect to: * Develop detailed and outline designs, as well as specifications for electrical works (LV distribution, controls, MCCs, cabling, automation, and instrumentation). * Providing technical input on a daily basis to contribute to the team of engineers and technicians. * Ensure that the design output meets the agreed scope of work, as well as the budgets and timescales. * Collaborate closely with colleagues from other disciplines to meet project requirements and add value to the client. * Attend design review meetings to monitor progress. This is a collaborative, roll-your-sleeves-up environment — you’ll have the freedom to step beyond a narrow job description and genuinely influence outcomes.
