ESS Product Service Engineer – UK Location: UK Department: UK / EU Sales & Service Reports To: Sales VP / Head of Service About the Company (Anonymous) Viridis Talent is exclusively representing a global renewable energy manufacturer that is expanding its UK footprint within the residential Energy Storage Systems (ESS) market. With nearly two decades of R&D investment and a strong international presence, the business is now strengthening its local service capability to support its fast-growing customer base. Position Overview We are seeking a proactive ESS Product Service Engineer to support the deployment, installation and after-sales service of residential battery storage systems across the UK. This role plays a key part in installation oversight, subcontractor development, warranty operations, and field product testing. You will help establish and execute the company’s UK service strategy and ensure a best-in-class customer experience. Key Responsibilities Installation Management * Oversee a monthly volume of residential ESS installations delivered across the UK * Maintain compliance, safety and quality control across all installation projects Subcontractor Development * Identify, onboard and manage a network of qualified installation subcontractors * Deliver training and conduct performance assessments Local Service Operations * Support the setup of the company’s UK service structure * Assist with certifications, registrations and processes required for rebate eligibility Product Field Trials * Coordinate field test deployments of new ESS products with internal R&D teams * Gather user feedback and technical data to support continuous improvement Warranty & Technical Support * Define and oversee ESS warranty processes, replacements and technical resolutions * Ensure timely, effective communication with customers and partners Qualifications / Requirements Education * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or * Electrical installation/testing qualifications with relevant hands-on experience Experience * 3+ years in ESS project delivery, installation management or technical service * Proven subcontractor management and warranty-handling experience Skills * Strong knowledge of UK electrical standards and residential PV/ESS installation practices * Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and system diagrams Preferred Attributes * Willingness to travel locally across the UK * Strong communication, problem-solving and organisational skills
