Registered Manager (Ofsted) – Children’s Residential Home Location: Merseyside Salary: £60,000 – £100,000 OTE Job Type: Full-time Driving Licence Required: Yes (own car essential) Our client is seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager (Ofsted) to lead a solo occupancy children’s residential home in Merseyside. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong leader within children’s residential care to take full responsibility for the operational, regulatory, and therapeutic delivery of a high-quality home environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring young people receive personalised, safe, and outcome-focused care in line with Ofsted standards. Key Responsibilities * Lead the daily operations of the children’s home, ensuring full compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding legislation * Develop, implement, and review individualised care plans and risk assessments * Ensure safe and effective medication management * Recruit, lead, supervise, and develop a team of residential support staff * Drive a culture of high standards, accountability, and therapeutic care * Monitor staff performance and ensure ongoing training and development * Maintain accurate and compliant documentation and records * Liaise with local authorities, social workers, families, and external professionals * Promote positive outcomes for children and young people Requirements * Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care for Children & Young People (essential or willing to work towards) * Minimum 1 year’s experience as a Children’s Home Manager (required) * Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and children’s home legislation * Experience within residential childcare or therapeutic settings * Proven leadership and team management experience * Strong understanding of safeguarding and risk management * Excellent communication and organisational skills * Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle * Ability to commute to or relocate to Merseyside What’s on Offer * £60,000 – £100,000 OTE * Full-time, permanent position * Opportunity to lead a solo occupancy home * Supportive and values-led working environment * Career progression and professional development opportunities If you are a motivated and experienced Registered Manager looking to make a real difference in children’s residential care, we would love to hear from you.
